Physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist aims to restore quality of life for patients with physical impairment or disabilities
KNOXVILLE, TN (October 29, 2019) – Tennova Healthcare recently welcomed Sharon E. Glass M.D., physiatrist, to her new medical practice Tennova Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation – East Towne, located at 4711 Centerline Drive in Knoxville. Same-week appointments are available. Dr. Glass is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, including stroke, spinal cord and brain injuries, and neurodegenerative diseases. She is experienced in caring for individuals with serious injuries and illnesses, including amputations, multitrauma, myopathy, traumatic brain injury, and neurological conditions. Dr. Glass has a special interest in spasticity management, botulinum toxin for chronic migraines and spasticity, and management of neuropathic pain.
She earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she also completed a three-year residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Glass is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Glass has more than 30 years of experience in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry. Prior to joining Tennova, she cared for inpatients and outpatients at Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville.
